We cooperate with agencies that organize boat trips to Athos and nearby beaches.

Sunny Bay Beach
Our beach is a small part of the largest beach of Sithonia that stretches for 32km from Nikiti and south to Gerakini in the northwest. The beach has white sand and blue-green, crystal clear shallow and safe waters.
Agios Ioannis
Two kilometres after the junction of Nikiti (turn right following the western side of the peninsula) the beach of Agios Ioannis is long with beach bars, sunbeds and umbrellas.
Kalogrias Beach
Kalogrias beach is sandy with the pine forest reaching the sea.
Makria Lagkada
Very close to Metamorfosi you will find Makria Lagada, a beach that has a "Blue Flag" and is organized and has services for water sports.
Vourvourou
The area looks like a lagoon. There are small islands surrounding the bay with the largest being Diaporos. The waters are quite shallow.
Koviou Coast
A small creek with amazing colors, perhaps the most intense waters of all of Halkidiki. You will park on the plateau on the bend but also on the right of the road and walk downhill.
Of course there is always the possibility to visit the mountains and forests of Sithonia and the peninsula of Kassandra.

Transformation
Sunny Bay is located 1.2 km from the centre of Metamorphosis. In Metamorfosi you will find shops, a pharmacy, a bus stop, taverns and bars.
Nikiti
Nikiti is the capital of Sithonia and is 8 km south of the campsite. There you will find many shops, cafes & restaurants as well as public services.
Fish
At 10km northeast of Sunny Bay, you will find Psakoudia, which has a large market as well as restaurants, cafes and bars.
Petralona Cave
A suggestion for a day trip is a visit to the cave of Petralona at 50km from the campsite. The cave was mapped in 1959 by a shepherd. Investigations have brought to light the famous "Skull" of Petralona which is 700,000 years old and is considered the oldest in the world.
Olynthos
At a distance of 28 km from the campsite, there are the ancient ruins of Olynthos, one of the most important cities of antiquity.
